HR Apprentice - Earn while you learn
We're working with a leading NI employer, now recruiting an HR Apprentice to join a collaborative, dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the beginning of their journey who is interested in gaining further education and developing a career in HR.
The role
As HR Apprentice, you'll provide support to the team with all HR functions in a busy, forward-thinking organisation.
The role combines four days per week of paid work, and one day per week dedicated to study towards a BSc Human Resource Management degree.
- The main responsibilities
- Support recruitment, including interviews, candidate communication, records and early-career campaigns.
- Assist with pre-employment checks, onboarding and equality monitoring.
- Support learning and development administration, including training records, bookings and feedback.
- Assist with employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives and communications.
- Maintain accurate HR records, trackers and systems.
- Handle confidential information in line with data protection requirements.
- Provide general HR administration, including documents, meetings, inboxes and routine queries.
- Support HR policies, projects, meetings and action tracking.
- Assist with workplace and facilities activities that enhance employee experience.
- Attend team meetings, contribute ideas and support the wider team while developing your skills.
- The ideal candidate
- Interested in pursuing a degree and career in HR
- BCC A Levels, or equivalent, and GCSE English and Maths at Grade C, or equivalent.
- A genuine interest in people, workplace culture, employee experience and how organisations support colleagues to do their best work.
- Well organised, detail-focused, eager to learn and develop personally.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, or willing to develop digital skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
