MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Head of Operations for our client. You will lead and transform operational functions across manufacturing, supply chain, and installation. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role focused on improving efficiency, productivity, cost, quality, and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an operations strategy to improve performance and reduce costs
- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing, planning, procurement, and installation
- Drive continuous improvement (Lean, OEE, waste reduction, workflow optimisation)
- Own production scheduling and align capacity with demand
- Improve quality, reducing defects, rework, and non-conformance
About You
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or operations (ideally within construction products or engineered environments)
- Strong track record in improving productivity, OTIF, and operational performance
- Good understanding of production planning, supply chain, and quality systems
- Strong communicator with a hands-on leadership style
Qualifications
- Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
