MCS is exclusively partnering a rapidly growing Electronic Device Manufacturer that is currently expanding its operations. Following the recent acquisition of an additional production unit, they are seeking a hands-on, technically-minded individual to join their close-knit workshop team. This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a screen all day. This is for a "maker" - someone who enjoys PCB assembly, soldering, and seeing a high-tech product come to life from scratch.
Requirements:
- The "Maker": Proven interest in electronics (hobbyist or educational background).
- Precision & Communication: You must be able to follow highly regulated quality procedures (ISO 13485) and have the confidence to ask questions if something isn't clear. In medical manufacturing, "near enough" is never good enough.
- Hands-on Focus: You will be trained on Pick & Place machines, 3D printers, and SMT equipment.
Eligibility: Full, permanent right to work in the UK is required (No sponsorship available).
Mobility: A Full Driving License and access to a car daily; reasonable adjustments possible.
Your Responsibilities:
- Production & Assembly: PCB population, soldering, and mechanical assembly of life-saving medical devices.
- Testing & Maintenance: Carrying out fault-finding, repair, and general workshop upkeep.
- Quality Assurance: Adhering to strict SOPs and internal work instructions to ensure 100% compliance within an ISO accredited environment.
- Growth Support: Assisting the engineering team with ad-hoc prototype builds and validation activities.
Why This Role? This company is in a major growth phase; they are moving toward custom bespoke manufacturing and offer a potential genuine path for progression/longevity, with on-the-job learning possible.
What's on Offer:
- Salary: £27,000 | £12.98/h (pro-rata)
- Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm | 40 Hour Week | Half-day Friday Finish (Paid)
- Generous Time Off: 34 Days Holiday (Pro-rata)
- Duration: Initially ~13 Weeks - Conversion to Full-time permanent possible for the right candidate.
- On-Site Car Parking (Free)
