MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Design Manager for our client, a leading main contractor delivering commercial, healthcare, education and residential projects across the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong project pipeline, taking ownership of the design process on major construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design process from tender to project completion
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and project teams
- Monitor design programmes and ensure key milestones are met
- Resolve design issues and ensure compliance with regulations
- Review drawings and technical submissions for buildability
- Support value engineering and project delivery
About You
- Experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry
- Main contractor experience on large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and building regulations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
