A well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join its HR team based in the Strabane area. This role offers the opportunity to act as a trusted advisor to management while supporting the delivery of the organisation's people strategy, focusing on talent attraction, development and retention. Working closely with the Head of HR and wider HR team, the successful candidate will provide both strategic and operational HR support while helping to ensure a consistent approach to people policies and practices across the business.
The HR Business Partner will provide a professional HR advisory service while developing strong relationships with managers and teams across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:- Leading and supporting the HR team within your site or area of responsibility
- Providing HR advice and guidance to managers on people-related matters
- Managing employee relations issues including grievances, disciplinary processes and investigations
- Supporting recruitment activity and onboarding processes
- Promoting best practice HR processes relating to performance management, wellbeing and continuous improvement
- Supporting succession planning, development plans and wider talent initiatives
- Driving employee engagement initiatives and supporting internal communications
- Supporting organisational change projects and wider business initiatives
- Maintaining HR policies and ensuring compliance with employment legislation
- Building constructive relationships with union representatives where applicable
- Supporting the effective use of HR systems and reporting of HR metrics
The role will also involve contributing to HR projects and deputising for the Head of HR when required.
The Successful Candidate:Candidates should demonstrate:
- Experience working at HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor level
- Strong employee relations experience and knowledge of employment legislation
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across the business
- Experience supporting recruitment, talent development and organisational change
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience within a manufacturing, industrial or unionised environment would be highly advantageous.
