MCS Group are currently recruiting for 2 temporary Financial Management Analysts on behalf of the Western Health and Social Care Trust, based in Derry/Londonderry. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced finance professionals to join a busy finance team, supporting financial management processes, reporting, and budgetary control within a large complex organisation.

Key Duties

  • Provide financial analysis and management information to support decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring expenditure.
  • Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and performance data.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting systems.
  • Use computerised accounting ledgers and finance systems effectively.
  • Liaise with internal departments regarding finance queries and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and controls.

Essential Criteria

  • Applicants must meet one of the following qualification/experience routes: Diploma for Accounting Technicians (ATI) or equivalent OR Finance/Accounting/Business Degree with 2 years' relevant finance experience OR 5 years' relevant finance experience.
  • Excellent IT skills, to include the Microsoft Office suite and advanced Excel functions.
  • Experience of working with financial systems, including a computerised accounting ledger.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The role

  • Temporary until 20/10/26.
  • Flexible working options, including hybrid and home working.
  • Pay rate of £15.88 per hour (£30,966 annual equivalent).
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
