MCS Group is seeking a Data Analyst for a close client in the greater Belfast area. Data and data-driven decision making is at the heart of this highly successful and renowned business, that has grown strength-to-strength in recent years and is one of the largest private sector employers outside of Belfast.
We're seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who will provide support and take the lead in the development and implementation of Business Intelligence reporting and Data Analytics across the organisation. The Business Intelligence/Data Analyst will transform complex data into clear insights through advanced reporting, building robust data models, and get exposure to working with Microsoft Power Platform tools (primarily Power BI). The BI Developer will also play a key role as the business migrates from Crystal Reports to Power BI, giving the right person a unique opportunity to influence an evolving analytics landscape while developing your own expertise. Please note this is a hybrid working model. The company has free parking outside greater Belfast. Unfortunately, sponsorship is unavailable.
Key Responsibilities- Business Intelligence & Data Reporting - you'll work with different departments across the organisation to gather requirements and create effective, visually appealing reports using Power BI.
- You'll be involved with ensuring the validity and integrity of the organisation's data.
- You'll also contribute to drive the take up of Business Intelligence across the company through user engagement, training and education.
- You'll have two years of relevant experience in a reporting, Business Intelligence, or data analyst position.
- You'll have strong SQL and Power BI skills.
- Experience with Python, supporting ERP systems (particularly Microsoft Dynamics Nav), and Microsoft SQL Server are also highly desirable.
Salary: £30-34,000 plus benefits including 32 days annual leave, a flexi time policy, and a 50% company discount.
