MCS Group is delighted to be working with a professional services company based in Antrim to recruit a Business & Events Assistant to join their team. The successful individual will work closely with colleagues across Events, Finance and Marketing, playing a key role in the customers overall experience. This is a supportive role offering practical experience in customer service, marketing, events administration and business systems. You will receive structured training and guidance, with the opportunity to build confidence and skills over time.
Key responsibilities:
- First point of contact for all customer and delegate enquiries across email, HubSpot ticketing and phone.
- Provide clear, friendly and professional guidance from initial enquiry through to post event follow up, including support with event sales enquiries.
- Build strong relationships by anticipating needs, resolving queries efficiently and offering a personalised experience.
- Assist with and finalise event sales, issue booking confirmations, joining instructions, reminders and follow-up communications in a timely and consistent manner.
- Support post-event activities and additional updates.
Essential Criteria:
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong technical confidence, including virtual working tools and online event platforms.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a customer-facing role.
- Highly organised and efficient, with ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a warm, professional and confident tone.
- Experience working with financial data, invoices, payments or reconciliation as part of a wider role.
- Reliable, flexible and adaptable, with a positive and professional attitude.
- Willingness to take full ownership and be a dependable point of contact.
