The successful candidate will take control of the County Down territory and play a key role in expanding the customer base, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing customers across a designated territory.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and field-based sales activity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of service and customer retention.
  • Conduct regular site visits and customer meetings to understand operational requirements and identify sales opportunities.
  • Generate qualified leads and develop a healthy sales pipeline across key sectors including construction, engineering, manufacturing, and industrial markets.
  • Promote a comprehensive range of tools, equipment, consumables, and associated services to both new and existing customers.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and provide customers with tailored solutions to meet their business needs.
  • Work closely with internal sales, service, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support ongoing business development initiatives.
  • Represent the business at trade events, customer open days, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
Essential Criteria
  • Previous experience in a sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and generate new business.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple opportunities.
  • Currently working in a field sales role.
  • Full clean driving licence with flexibility to travel throughout the territory of County Down.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience within tools, industrial supplies, engineering, construction, plant hire, manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Experience selling directly to trade customers, contractors, engineering firms, or industrial businesses.
  • Knowledge of power tools, equipment, PPE, consumables, or technical product ranges.
  • Familiarity with territory management and field sales best practices.
