MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit an experienced Senior HR Business Partner on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Site Director, this is a key strategic appointment where you will partner with the senior leadership team to drive the people agenda across a large manufacturing site. This role offers the opportunity to influence business performance through strategic workforce planning, employee engagement, organisational development and a proactive approach to people management.
As HR Business Partner, you will work closely with the Site Director and wider leadership team to deliver the Group People Strategy at site level, ensuring people initiatives support operational performance and future business growth. You will lead workforce planning, organisational design and succession planning, ensuring the business has the capability and talent required to meet both current and future demands. You will act as the trusted advisor on complex employee relations matters, providing expert guidance across disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and organisational change.
Building strong relationships with site leadership, trade union representatives and key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining positive employee relations and driving a high-performance culture. Alongside your strategic HR responsibilities, you will champion employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, learning and development and community partnerships. You will work collaboratively with specialist HR teams to deliver talent attraction initiatives, leadership development, early careers programmes and continuous improvement projects that enhance both the employee experience and organisational performance.

The Right Fit
The successful candidate will be an experienced HR professional with strong business partnering experience gained within a manufacturing, FMCG or similarly fast-paced operational environment. You will be able to demonstrate:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor within manufacturing, FMCG or a comparable operational environment
- Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases and supporting organisational change, ideally in a unionised setting
- Proven ability to influence and coach senior stakeholders
- Experience in workforce planning, succession planning and organisational design
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Experience driving employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to use HR data and KPIs to support decision-making
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
