MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a leading multinational manufacturing organisation based in Craigavon as they seek to appoint an experienced People & Culture Business Partner on a full-time permanent basis. This is a key appointment within the People & Culture function and a genuine opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to operate at both strategic and operational level within a complex, fast-paced manufacturing environment undergoing significant cultural and organisational transformation.
The organisation is seeking an experienced HR professional who will quickly establish credibility across the business, confidently challenge and influence senior stakeholders, and act as a true strategic partner to the business rather than a transactional HR provider.
The Role
Reporting to the People & Culture Director and working as part of a wider HR team, the successful candidate will take ownership of a defined business area, acting as the trusted "go to" HR partner for managers and senior leaders. This role requires someone who will immerse themselves in the operational reality of the business, build strong relationships with leadership teams, and proactively drive change in partnership with managers. The successful candidate will bring the confidence, experience and commercial awareness to appropriately challenge business leaders, support improved decision-making, and help shape stronger management capability across the organisation. They will play a key role in increasing overall HR capability within the team through the experience, credibility and approach they bring, while contributing directly to the organisation's wider people and culture transformation agenda.
Key areas of focus will include:
- Driving cultural and organisational change initiatives aligned to the People & Culture strategy
- Coaching and developing management capability across business areas
- Strengthening employee engagement through leadership behaviours and management accountability
- Partnering with managers on workforce planning and recruitment challenges to prevent critical skills gaps
- Proactively anticipating and responding to legislative and employment law changes
- Leading on complex employee relations matters in a balanced and commercially pragmatic way
- Acting as a visible, credible HR leader across the organisation
Alongside the strategic remit, the role will also support the full HR generalist agenda including employee relations, performance management, disciplinaries, absence management and recruitment.
The Successful Candidate
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:
- Proven track record operating at HR Business Partner / HR Manager level or above in manufacturing, or a similar industry
- Strong ability to influence, challenge and partner effectively with senior stakeholders
- Proven track record of driving cultural or organisational change
- Confidence coaching and developing managers in a business partnering environment
- Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
- Extensive employee relations experience with strong employment law knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Degree educated and CIPD qualified
