MCS Group are working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit a Technical Engineer to join their team based in the UK. This organisation operates within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, delivering structural solutions across a range of projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging designs while engaging directly with clients and playing a key role in project delivery from enquiry through to completion.
The Role
The Technical Engineer will be responsible for delivering design and technical support across a range of structural projects. Following a period of on-the-job training, you will work independently, liaising directly with customers while producing calculations, drawings and technical solutions to meet project requirements. You will:
- Prepare structural calculations and load assessments in line with relevant standards
- Produce bespoke design solutions and technical drawings using CAD software
- Generate accurate technical quotations and deliver within agreed timescales
- Liaise directly with customers, providing technical advice and design support
- Oversee projects from enquiry through to delivery, ensuring quality and compliance

The Ideal Candidate;
- Degree in an Engineering discipline (e.g. Civil, Structural or Mechanical)
- Experience working with traditional materials such as timber, steel and concrete
