We're seeking to recruit a Communications Engineer to design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge communication solutions for advanced technologies at the forefront of renewable integration & sustainability. With a comprehensive product portfolio in energy, our advanced manufacturing and technology business based in Lisburn is growing their team and looking to recruit a Communications Engineer. What You'll Do: Design and document communication protocols for industrial systems. Develop and support products ensuring seamless customer communication. Troubleshoot and resolve customer technical communication challenges. Configure and test communications hardware. Work with protocols to support product development Assist with train teams on new communication systems and create robust configuration and test documentation. What You'll Need: A degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent experience in communications setup for industrial products. Proven expertise with physical communication layers (e.g. RS232, RS485, Ethernet, GSM/GPRS, Fibre COMMs, WIFI) and various protocols (e.g. MODBUS, TCP, DNP3, IEC61850, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, P2P, VPNs, MMS, MQTT). RTU configuration experience. Bonus: Experience in the power/utilities industry and automation of communication testing!
