MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Civil Sales Estimator for our client, a leading precast concrete manufacturer delivering high-quality products across civil infrastructure, agriculture, and building sectors throughout the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business with a strong reputation in the construction manufacturing sector, playing a key role in the pricing, tendering, and conversion of civil engineering projects into secured orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates from drawings, Bills of Quantities, and tender documentation
  • Support the preparation and submission of competitive tenders within required timeframes
  • Work closely with the Civil Sales Manager and estimating team to convert enquiries into orders
  • Engage with clients and contractors in a professional and technical capacity to support commercial negotiations
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth progression from tender stage through to order processing
  • Assist with technical queries and value engineering discussions where required

Qualifications

  • Experience in a civils or construction estimating role (not a junior position)
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and engineering information
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial awareness with a focus on securing work and meeting deadlines
  • Civils experience preferred, though strong transferable construction estimating experience will be considered
