MCS Group is recruiting for a hands-on System Test Engineer (Electronics) to join an innovative engineering team developing advanced technology for the utilities sector. This role will be based in Lisburn and offered on a temporary contract. This role sits within a multidisciplinary R&D environment, testing complex embedded hardware and software systems developed in-house.
Key Responsibilities
- System and embedded software testing
- Test plan and test case creation
- Hardware and firmware configuration
- Lab setup, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Working closely with software and electronics teams
- Supporting automation and rapid release testing
Essential Experience
- Strong electronics and laboratory testing background
- Experience using oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters
- Hands-on work with PCB boards, wiring, DIN rails, and electronic assemblies
- Experience using Command Line/SSH for troubleshooting
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and BOMs
- Strong test planning and reporting skills
