I am looking for a buyer, preferably with a manufacturing background. The successful candidate will be able to excel at both the strategic & functional elements of this key role. You will be responsible for some key Purchasing commodities, helping to create & implement the overall strategy.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • To play a lead role in the formulation & implementation of the strategy for the commodities under their control.
  • To continually seek improvements in purchasing procedures and methods employed in line with the company's strategic growth plans.
  • To be responsible for supplier interface including contracting, auditing and analysis, selection/de-selection and development.
  • To negotiate the keenest prices at the best quality in all dealings with suppliers.
  • To liaise with suppliers on a daily basis and develop strong supplier partnerships.
