MCS Group are supporting a large public sector organisation in Ballymena to recruit Business Analysts to support the design, configuration and implementation of HR and Payroll modules within their new ERP system. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your experience within the public sector, in an organisation with a good culture and hybrid working arrangements.
As a Business Analyst, you will work within the Business Systems Team, working directly with Service Leads, End-users, IT colleagues and external partners. You will have excellent communication skills, being the bridge between business needs and technical delivery to ensure that functional requirements are captured, validated and embedded into the ERP solution.
You will engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, capturing detailed business requirements specific to either payroll or HR processes and you will map out current and future state processes to support configuration and functional design. Working closely with the implementation team, you will act as a key liaison between operational and technical project teams, ensuring clarity and addressing issues through the project lifecycle. In addition, you will support testing, data migration, documentation and project delivery and tracking/reporting.
The person will have
- A degree or post graduate qualification with 2 years relevant experience OR 4 years relevant experience in the areas below
- Experience gathering and analysing functional requirements for systems or digital projects
- Strong understanding of either HR or payroll processes and compliance requirements
- Ability to develop process maps, documentation, and user stories
- A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle. For those whose disability prohibits driving, you will have access to a form of transport that allows you to carry out the duties of the post.
The role
Location: Ballymena, hybrid working
Duration: Temporary post until 31st March 2026
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Pay: £20.98 per hour
