This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on H&S professional looking to build experience within a structured safety function and contribute to a strong, positive safety culture. This role will suit someone who enjoys being visible on site, supporting continuous improvement, and working closely with operational teams to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Health & Safety Manager with audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed out.
- Assist with the recording, investigation, and reporting of accidents and near misses, maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
- Deliver Health & Safety inductions and support ongoing training initiatives, including toolbox talks.
- Monitor compliance across office and production environments, supporting the safety of employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Coordinate office-based safety activities including fire drills, first aid, and fire warden duties.
- Support the creation, review, and maintenance of SOPs and integrated management system documentation.
- Assist during third-party audits and accreditations, ensuring contractor and haulier records are complete and compliant.
- Support compliance related to company vehicles and mobile plant, including forklifts and site transport.
- Attend Health & Safety meetings, record minutes, and follow up on agreed actions.
- Actively promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the business.

- Confident communicator, able to engage positively with employees at all levels.
- Willing to raise concerns and challenge unsafe practices appropriately.
