MCS Group is delighted to be working with a leading financial services organisation that is building out a brand-new AI Centre of Excellence and is hiring an experienced Python software engineer to help take AI from experimentation into real-world production.
This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable systems and turning complex ideas into robust, secure platforms - rather than pure research or modelling work.
The Role
- Work in a cross-functional team alongside product, data and engineering colleagues to deliver AI-powered solutions into live, regulated environments.
- Take ML/AI solutions from concept through to production.
- Design and build scalable, cloud-native services.
- Help shape engineering standards, tooling and best practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders to solve real business problems.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Python software engineering background.
- Experience building and deploying production-grade systems.
- Solid engineering fundamentals: CI/CD, testing, monitoring.
- Cloud experience in AWS and/or Azure.
- Comfortable working with distributed systems, orchestration and data pipelines.
- Awareness of security, governance and regulated environments (nice to have).
- Open to senior software engineers keen to move into AI/ML, provided your engineering foundations are strong.
