An established software business in Belfast is seeking an IT & Application Support Engineer to join its internal IT function. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day IT issues and business-critical systems, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and working closely with end users.

The Role

You will act as a first point of contact for IT and application-related issues, supporting users across the business. The role involves a mix of general IT support and application support, requiring strong communication skills and a structured troubleshooting approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st line IT and application support to internal users
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues
  • Support internal business systems and applications
  • Communicate clearly with users, keeping them updated on progress
  • Escalate issues where appropriate and work with wider IT teams
  • Run basic SQL queries to help investigate application issues

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a 1st Line IT Support or Application Support role
