MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading financial services and compliance organisation to recruit a Trainee Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team in Belfast.
The Company: Our client is a Belfast-based financial services consultancy specialising in risk, compliance and cybersecurity. Established in 2011, they have 50+ employees and reported approximately £7.4m turnover, with offices across Belfast, London, and Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for an already part-qualified and experienced candidate to join a fast-growing, specialist financial services firm with a strong reputation and an ambitious culture, offering an excellent environment to build a long-term career.
The Rewards: As the successful Trainee Management Accountant, you will receive:
- £30,000-£35,000 (DOE)
- Hybrid/flexible working (3 days office based)
- Study Support towards completing your CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualification
- Exposure to senior leadership and commercially focused finance projects
The Role: Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful Trainee Management Accountant will be responsible for:
- Prepare monthly Management Accounts to draft stage
- Draft monthly revenue journals
- Manage the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable functions
- Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Other ad hoc duties outlined in the job specification
The Person: The successful Trainee Management Accountant will meet the following criteria:
- Part-Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA
- Previous practical experience in a similar role
- Strong Microsoft 365 Skills
- Knowledge of accountancy software
