A leading public sector organisation based in Belfast is seeking an experienced Systems Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery and implementation of a critical Customer Relationship and Case Management System (CRM/CMS). This is a hands-on role where you will drive the practical implementation of a new platform, oversee data migration from legacy systems, and champion process re-engineering across diverse teams. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure successful system adoption, automation, and deliver improved user and customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end implementation of the new CRM/CMS platform, managing configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, and training through to a successful go-live.
- Process Optimisation: Review existing processes using lean principles to reduce complexity, eliminate manual workarounds, and embed intelligent automated workflows or AI applications.
- Vendor Management: Act as the primary interface with third-party technology suppliers and implementation partners, holding them accountable for timelines, quality, and deliverables.
- Change Management: Develop and execute communication, training, and support plans to ensure high adoption levels and capability uplift across internal staff and external associates.
- Governance & Reporting: Establish robust project governance, track budgets, manage risks/dependencies, and provide regular, clear progress updates to the Senior Management Team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all system transformation activities comply with relevant regulatory, financial, data protection, and information security standards.
Essential Criteria
- Qualification: A formal, recognised Project Management Qualification.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience successfully managing system transformation projects from conception to implementation and embedding.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: A proven track record of working with diverse cross-functional stakeholders and managing third-party technology suppliers or implementation partners.
- Delivery Skills: Proven experience managing multiple work-streams, complex project priorities, and challenging deadlines.
- Technical Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams, operational staff, and senior leadership.
- Mobility: Possession of a full, current UK driving licence and access to a car for business travel (reasonable adjustments will be fully considered for applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence).
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within clinical, health, or public sector service environments.
- Practical knowledge of implementing modern workflow automation and emerging AI business tools.
- Formal Project Management Framework Certification (PRINCE2/Agile).
