MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth technology business building a modern, data-driven platform that helps large organisations make smarter, faster decisions through real-time insights. With strong backing and ambitious growth plans, the company is establishing a brand-new engineering hub in Belfast as part of its international expansion.

The Role

We're particularly keen to speak with engineers who have strong backend development experience in Python or Go, alongside experience building modern web applications and cloud-based systems. You'll join as part of the founding Belfast engineering team, working closely with global colleagues while helping shape and grow the local function.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building full stack features across frontend and backend systems
  • Developing scalable APIs and backend services using Python or Go
  • Working with large, structured datasets
  • Contributing to cloud-native platform development
  • Supporting the integration of AI-driven capabilities into production systems
  • Collaborating closely with software engineers, product teams and data specialists

What They're Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience with Python or Go
  • Experience building and maintaining production applications
  • React or modern frontend framework experience
  • Strong SQL and data fundamentals
  • Cloud experience (GCP, AWS or Azure)
  • Interest in AI, data platforms or analytics products
  • Comfortable working in a scaling, fast-paced environment

This role would suit a Mid-Senior Engineer (circa 5+ years' experience) with strong backend engineering expertise who enjoys solving complex problems and working with modern technologies.
