MCS Group are delighted to be working with a leading Tier 1 company on a Senior Quantity Surveyor opportunity. This role offers the opportunity to work within a top civils contractor on a diverse range of civils and infrastructure projects across the UK.
The Role
We are working with a leading company who is seeking a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their civils team. You will play a key role within a team which values your expertise and innovation, enhancing the team and driving success across high value projects.
You will:
- Prepare, negotiate, and analyse budgets, and procure subcontractors including pre-qualification and order documentation.
- Assess and certify subcontractor payments, ensuring correct contractual notices are issued.
- Advise on legal and contractual matters, identifying and managing commercial risks.
- Assist with reporting, team coordination, and mentoring of junior staff.
- Maintain strong working relationships and ensure effective collaboration between commercial and operational site teams.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Good knowledge of construction contracts particularly the JCT & NEC Forms of Contract.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Full valid driving licence.
