Following continued commercial success, they are seeking a technically-minded and proactive Senior ICT Engineer to join their dedicated infrastructure team. This isn't just a maintenance role; it is a position for a technical lead who enjoys designing, implementing, and supporting complex ICT infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise: Significant experience with a Microsoft-based stack, including Office 365, SharePoint, and the Microsoft Security Suite (Defender).
- Virtualisation & Infrastructure: Proficiency in managing VMware-based data centres for customer applications, live servers, and backups.
- Driving License: A full, clean, current motor vehicle driving license is required for essential field work and site visits.
- Flexibility: Willingness to undertake overtime and participate in a 24-hour call-out rota as required.
- Infrastructure & Estate Management: Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of Atlas and customer ICT applications.
- User Support: Managing end-users, desktops, user changes, and general technical support desk duties.
- Project Delivery: Driving upgrade and migration projects effectively to achieve agreed goals and targets.
- Security & Maintenance: Responsible for patching, implementing antivirus policies, and managing backups.
- Mentorship: Providing a technical lead for the ICT product portfolio and supporting other engineers where applicable.
This is a permanent opportunity to join a stable team where your expertise will directly influence the quality of service provided to organisations requiring high-level IT security and infrastructure. While much can be managed remotely, you will have the variety of field-based work when needed.
