MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our Energy client for a Regulatory Financial Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in Belfast and work in a challenging and impactful role within the energy sector. As a Regulatory Analyst within the Commercial and Regulation team, you will contribute to a broad range of regulatory activities. The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across the organisation and externally, whilst contributing to projects that strengthen the company's financial and regulatory foundations.

The role: As the successful Regulatory Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Leading regulatory projects, delivering price controls and improving reporting
  • Overseeing licence compliance tracking obligations and submitting returns
  • Providing regulatory support for SEM and organisational initiatives
  • Monitoring performance across service delivery, budgets and regulatory reporting
  • Supporting tariff work including tariff calculation

The Person: As the successful Regulatory Analyst should have the following experience:

  • Process improvement experience including developing and implementing business processes
  • Business case development including impact assessments and cost benefit analysis
  • Strong analytical capability with attention to detail and evidence-based decision making
  • Financial modelling proficiency including advanced MS Excel and Sharepoint skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration with strong organisational skills and stakeholder engagement
