Full-Time | Permanent Hybrid Working £35,000 - £61,000 DOE

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a global technology-driven organisation to recruit multiple Cloud Product Security Engineers across mid to senior levels. This is an opportunity to join a highly engineering-focused security team building enterprise-scale cloud security capabilities directly into modern platforms, infrastructure, and developer workflows.

The Role

My client is looking for hands-on engineers who want to build and operate cloud-native security capabilities rather than work in traditional compliance or governance-heavy security environments. You'll design, develop, and maintain security controls integrated directly into cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, enterprise services, and modern application environments. The team operates with a strong product engineering mindset, owning solutions end-to-end from design through deployment and operational support. This role offers exposure to large-scale cloud environments, modern DevOps practices, and highly collaborative engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Security Engineering
  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native security controls across AWS and/or Azure environments
  • Develop preventative, detective, and responsive security capabilities for cloud-hosted workloads
  • Engineer and maintain CSPM and DLP capabilities across enterprise cloud platforms
  • Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and shared enterprise services
  • Detection, Automation & Response
    • Build detection logic, automation, and response mechanisms to improve security operations
    • Integrate cloud security tooling with SIEM and monitoring platforms
    • Support incident response activities through improved detections and recovery mechanisms
    • Contribute to post-incident improvements and continuous optimisation of controls
  • Modern Engineering Practices
    • Apply Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automated testing practices across security solutions
    • Develop scalable, reliable, production-grade software and cloud services
    • Collaborate closely with platform engineers, developers, and product teams
    • Support continuous improvement across cloud security engineering practices

    About You

    Essential

    • Experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or security engineering environments
    • Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
    • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure
    • Understanding of cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices
    • Experience building or supporting cloud security controls and automation
    • Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud automation tooling

    Desirable

    • Experience with CSPM, DLP, SIEM, or cloud security tooling
    • Exposure to detection engineering, incident response, or security automation
    • Understanding of secure cloud design principles and distributed systems
    • Experience with policy-as-code, drift detection, or automated remediation
    • Background in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments

    What's on Offer

    • Salary ranging from £35,000 - £61,000 depending on experience and level
    • Hybrid working with strong flexibility
    • Opportunity to work on genuinely modern cloud and security engineering challenges
    • Strong technical culture with an engineering-first mindset
    • Exposure to enterprise-scale cloud environments and modern DevOps practices
    • Clear progression opportunities into senior technical leadership or specialist engineering pathways
