MCS Group is working exclusively with a high-growth, international organisation as they continue to expand their operations in Northern Ireland. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join the business and play a key role in managing supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, and sourcing activity across a diverse range of spend categories. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, global environment and wants to take ownership of procurement activities that have a genuine impact on business performance.
This is a hands-on role where you'll manage sourcing initiatives from initial requirements gathering through to supplier selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing supplier management. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple functions, you'll act as a trusted commercial partner, helping the business achieve value, manage risk, and support continued growth.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting procurement and sourcing activities across a range of spend categories
- Managing RFP, RFQ and tender processes from initiation through to completion
- Leading commercial negotiations with suppliers and supporting contract discussions
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to drive value, performance, and risk management
- Analysing spend and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver procurement solutions
- Supporting supplier governance, contract renewals, and vendor performance management
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or a commercial function
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing supplier contracts and commercial agreements
- Ability to balance business needs with sound commercial judgement
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Experience working within a complex or international business environment would be advantageous
Desirable:
- Experience procuring technology, software, professional services, or indirect spend categories
- Exposure to procurement platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or Coupa
