We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a highly respected public sector organisation on a 6-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional to play a key role in supporting strategic procurement activity within a large, complex public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end procurement processes in line with public sector regulations
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support organisational objectives
- Manage high-value and complex tenders and contracts
- Provide expert procurement advice to internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with public sector procurement policy and governance frameworks
- Support contract management and supplier performance management
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in a procurement role, with previous management experience
- Experience managing complex procurement exercises and tender processes
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable:
- CIPS qualification, ideally working towards MCIPS
- Strong knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and frameworks
- Knowledge of EU/UK public procurement legislation and procedures
