We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a highly respected public sector organisation on a 6-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional to play a key role in supporting strategic procurement activity within a large, complex public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end procurement processes in line with public sector regulations
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support organisational objectives
  • Manage high-value and complex tenders and contracts
  • Provide expert procurement advice to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with public sector procurement policy and governance frameworks
  • Support contract management and supplier performance management

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in a procurement role, with previous management experience
  • Experience managing complex procurement exercises and tender processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable:

  • CIPS qualification, ideally working towards MCIPS
  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and frameworks
  • Knowledge of EU/UK public procurement legislation and procedures
