MCS Group are delighted to be working with an established accountancy and advisory firm to recruit a Practice Accountant in their team.

The Company: Our client is a well-established and growing Accountancy and Business Advisory firm based in Armagh. The firm offers accounts, taxation and business advisory and support services to a wide range of businesses and individuals across Northern Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a Practice Accountant to join a supportive, expert-led environment where you can grow your career in accountancy and business advisory. The Role: As the successful Practice Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Preparation and review of accounts for limited companies and partnerships, including ST
  • Management of tax compliance, payroll, and VAT requirements
  • Involvement in audit assignments (limited exposure)
  • Mixed role with responsibility for managing a client portfolio
  • Supporting, mentoring, and reviewing work of junior team members

The Person: The successful Practice Accountant will meet the following criteria:

  • Practice Experience
  • Strong Accounts experience
  • Open to part-qualified (PQ) candidates able to hit the ground running, with prior practice experience and a solid understanding of tax matters
  • Requires little to no training, comfortable managing responsibilities independently
  • Demonstrates the right attitude, motivated, reliable, and a strong team player
