MCS Group is delighted to be exclusively representing a leading, multi-site organisation that is currently seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join their growing People function on a full-time permanent basis. The organisation already has a large workforce, with ambitious expansion plans across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, this organisation is entering a significant phase of growth.

The People & Culture Business Partner will play a critical role in supporting this journey, driving employee engagement, organisational capability, and cultural alignment across the business.

The Role

This is a true business partnering role, combining strategic influence with operational delivery across a complex, multi-site environment. Reporting to the HR Director, the People & Culture Business Partner will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and driving people strategy
  • Lead on employee engagement and culture initiatives, ensuring strong alignment with organisational values
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations and employment legislation, supporting managers in complex scenarios
  • Partner with leaders to build organisational capability, particularly across management and leadership development
  • Support the business through a period of significant growth and transformation, including cross-border expansion

The successful candidate will take ownership of employee engagement across the organisation, supported by a small team. Key focus areas will include:

  • Management capability development
  • Cultural transformation programmes
  • Enhancing digital capability across the workforce

With potential growth through M&A activity, experience in cultural integration and harmonisation post-acquisition would be highly advantageous. This is a group-level role with regular travel across sites, requiring a strong understanding of the operational landscape and the ability to build relationships across geographically dispersed teams.

The Successful Candidate

To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:

  • Proven experience operating at HR Business Partner level or equivalent
  • A strong track record of driving employee engagement and cultural initiatives
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations, ideally across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience supporting organisational change and transformation
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to align HR strategy to business objectives
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level

Desirable:

  • Exposure to cross-border operations
  • Experience supporting M&A activity and post-acquisition integration
