Are you a paralegal with a strong interest in public service and a desire to support fair, transparent decision-making? We are delighted to be partnering with a public sector body to recruit a temporary Paralegal, offering the opportunity to play a key role in supporting adjudication, governance and information rights work.
The role:
- Provide administrative and paralegal support to the Commissioner for Standards, including adjudication processes
- Prepare and manage adjudication case files, records, scheduling and hearing arrangements
- Coordinate information governance, ensuring compliant record-keeping and decision-making processes
- Draft, track and coordinate responses to SARs, FOI and EIR requests within statutory deadlines
- Draft legal correspondence, maintain legal records and support governance functions
- Conduct legal research and prepare reports to inform management decision-making
- Uphold organisational values, equality and safety standards, and contribute flexibly to wider work activities
The Person:
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
- Essential:
- Experience providing legal or governance support and advice within an administrative setting
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, data protection, information governance and administrative justice procedures
- Proficient in using IT systems and remote communication platforms, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience supporting adjudication or complaints casework
