We're partnering with a leading wholesale and distribution business to recruit a Warehouse Line Manager for one of its busy distribution sites in Belfast. Main responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of warehouse colleagues, creating a positive and high-performing working environment.
- Plan and coordinate daily warehouse operations to ensure productivity, accuracy and service targets are achieved.
- Monitor operational KPIs, identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Manage employee performance, attendance, training and development, carrying out reviews and supporting individual growth.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and succession planning within the warehouse team.
- Build strong working relationships across operations and the wider supply chain to ensure efficient day-to-day performance.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies, warehouse procedures and legislative requirements.
- Investigate incidents, manage employee relations matters where required and maintain accurate operational records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational projects across the site.
- Deliver outstanding service by ensuring operational excellence and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience managing teams within a fast-paced warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience managing operational KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, warehouse compliance and operational best practice.
- Experience dealing with employee relations matters, including absence management and disciplinary processes, would be advantageous.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
- A proactive leadership style with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-moving operational environment.
