I am recruiting for a highly experienced IT Security Operations Manager for an immediate contract with a large, enterprise-scale organisation operating in a regulated environment. This is a senior contract opportunity for a hands-on security leader who can step in, take ownership, and drive operational security maturity across a complex hybrid infrastructure.
The Role
- You will assume responsibility for day-to-day security operations across cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring resilience, compliance and operational excellence.
Key focus areas:
- Leading Security Operations across hybrid infrastructure (Azure / M365 + on-prem)
- Owning incident response and remediation lifecycle
- Driving vulnerability management and patch governance
- Strengthening identity and access controls (Entra ID / IAM)
- Overseeing SIEM and monitoring effectiveness
- Delivering operational reporting, dashboards and measurable security improvements
- Supporting ISO 27001, data protection and regulatory requirements
- Leading and mentoring a Security Operations team
- Partnering closely with Infrastructure & Cloud leadership
This is an environment where you will have real operational influence and visibility at senior IT leadership level.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in IT / Cyber Security, with proven Security Operations leadership
- Strong Microsoft security ecosystem experience (Azure, M365, Entra ID, Intune)
- Experience operating in regulated / compliance-driven environments
- ITIL-aligned operational management
- Confident stakeholder engagement across IT, Risk & Compliance
- Track record of stabilising, optimising or maturing security operations functions
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, ITIL or Microsoft Security are advantageous but not essential for the right experience.
