Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to take the next step in a progressive and high-impact environment? We're recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a specialist team, supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health & safety practices across a large and diverse operational organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to apply their expertise, influence positive safety culture and play a key role in ensuring compliance, risk management and continuous improvement across multiple business functions.
The Role
- Support the delivery of corporate health & safety strategy and associated improvement programmes.
- Conduct inspections across a wide range of operational and corporate environments, identifying risks and ensuring compliance.
- Carry out and support risk assessments, ensuring effective control measures are in place and regularly reviewed.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of health & safety policies, procedures and management systems.
- Work closely with managers and stakeholders to embed a strong safety culture across the organisation.
- Provide professional advice and guidance on health & safety matters to colleagues at all levels.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and behavioural safety programmes.
You will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring health & safety standards are upheld and continuously improved across all areas of the business.
Requirements:
- A NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- At least one year's experience in a health & safety role, including inspections and auditing activities.
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance frameworks.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and supporting safety improvements.
- A full driving licence or access to transport to travel across Northern Ireland.
- NEBOSH Diploma.
- A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining the position.
