MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for our client, a leading retail and wholesale business operating across Northern Ireland with a strong presence in food retail, convenience, and distribution. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a well-established organisation with a large multi-site operation spanning retail stores, wholesale depots, and office locations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining health & safety standards, driving compliance, and supporting a positive safety culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Health & Safety Management System across multiple sites
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and best practice
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and claims support
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support health & safety training and awareness campaigns
About You
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within multi-site operations
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience within retail, logistics, warehousing, or FMCG environments is advantageous
- Qualifications: NEBOSH Certificate or working towards completion, IOSH membership desirable, additional H&S training qualifications advantageous
- Full UK/NI driving licence required
