Exclusive MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing consultancy business to recruit a part-time Financial Controller to join its team based in the Greater Belfast area.

The Company: Our client is an established consultancy business supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Following continued growth, the organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function and provide high-quality commercial insight to the senior leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious business in a senior and influential role, helping to strengthen financial reporting, improve processes and support future growth.

The Rewards: As the successful Financial Controller, you will receive:

  • £50,000 - £60,000 (FTE) and benefits package;
  • Part-time hours (22.5 hours);
  • Flexible and hybrid working options;
  • Direct exposure to the senior leadership team.

The Role: As the successful Financial Controller you will report directly to the Company Directors, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts & reporting packs;
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow cycles;
  • Overseeing transactional finance, working capital, payroll, VAT and statutory compliance;
  • Managing the year-end process and relationships with external accountants and auditors;
  • Strengthening financial controls, systems, reporting dashboards and processes;
  • Supporting pricing, strategic planning and wider business growth initiatives.

The Person: The successful Financial Controller will meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent;
  • Strong senior finance experience;
  • Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management experience;
  • Strong excel & IT skills.
