MCS Group are delighted to be working with a large organisation in Belfast, to recruit for a Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accountant who would like to join a successful and highly reputable company with great benefits and an excellent culture.
Based in the newly refurbished offices in Belfast, the Financial Accountant will be joining the Financial Reporting Team, reporting directly to the Senior Accountant. Working within a large finance team, you will have lots of support and opportunities to develop and progress within the organisation. You will play a key role in financial management and reporting and main duties may include:
- Production of statutory, regulatory and interim accounts
- Month-end close process - reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assistance with audit processes including liaising with external audit
- Monthly management accounts
- Supporting forecasts, budgets and business planning activities
- Continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and controls
- Implementing ESG reporting requirement
- Project work as required
This role may suit an experienced Accountant, including those newly qualified. You will have the following:
- A professional Accounting Qualification
- Proven experience in Financial Accounting including accounts preparation or review
- Experience of audit processes
- Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel
- Current driving licence with access to car - or if disability prohibits driving, access to suitable transport to fulfil the duties of the role.
It would be advantageous if you have experience of working in a large organisation or regulated environment.
