The role involves providing hands-on finance support across accounting, governance, and procurement during a busy period. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with preparation and review of management accounts and year-end financial statements.
- Supporting external audit activity and liaising with auditors as required.
- Delivering ad-hoc financial analysis and general finance support.
- Reviewing contracts, letters of offer, and appointments for accuracy and compliance.
- Supporting procurement activity, state aid assessments, and governance requirements.
- Maintaining records, identifying process improvements, and supporting the wider finance team.
The Person: As the successful candidate, you will have the following background and experience:
- Strong experience in management accounts, financial reporting, year-end accounts, and audit support.
- Practical knowledge of governance, procurement, and contract review.
- Highly organised and detail-focused, able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal.
