We're recruiting on behalf of a large public sector organisation for a Direct Tax Manager to oversee corporation tax and employment tax matters, ensuring robust compliance while providing clear, up-to-date technical advice to support business decisions. The role:
- Lead the Group's direct tax compliance, covering corporation tax and employment taxes.
- Manage tax computations, capital allowances claims, and reporting obligations.
- Oversee key deadlines, including quarterly payments and regulatory filings.
- Provide up-to-date, practical tax advice across the business and support new initiatives.
- Handle specialist areas such as off-payroll working, CIS, and PAYE-related calculations.
- Build strong internal relationships and liaise with external stakeholders, including tax authorities.
- Lead tax projects, support policy development, and ensure ongoing compliance with evolving legislation.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
- CTA qualified with post-qualification experience in corporation and employment tax.
- Strong technical expertise in accounting and tax, particularly in corporation and employment tax.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel within a finance environment.
