MCS Group is working with a well-established organisation in their search to hire a Data Scientist into a growing Data & Analytics function. This is a brilliant chance for an ambitious Data Science professional to work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in turning data into real business value. You'll partner with teams across the business to identify opportunities, build solutions, and deliver insights that support better decision-making and improved performance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and prioritise opportunities where data can add value
  • Translate business problems into data solutions
  • Build, test and deploy models using a range of techniques (statistical, ML, AI)
  • Work with engineering teams to source and prepare data
  • Develop dashboards and reports where needed (e.g. Power BI)
  • Monitor and improve models in production
  • Support data governance and best practice across the organisation

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering)
  • Strong experience in data science, analytics or machine learning roles
  • Solid skills in SQL, Python and modern data platforms (e.g. Databricks)
  • Experience building and deploying models in a production environment
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
