MCS Group is recruiting for a Contracts Management Officer. This role is offering an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Commercial team responsible for managing over £150m in annual contract spend. This role sits at the heart of service delivery, supporting essential infrastructure and operational services across a large, complex organisation.

The Role

  • As a Contract Management Officer, you will work closely with Contract Managers and stakeholders to support the effective management and performance of key contracts.
  • You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance, driving value for money, and helping contracts deliver against organisational objectives.
  • Supporting the management and performance monitoring of contracts.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
  • Analysing data to support performance improvement and decision-making.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Supporting the delivery of best practice in contract and supplier management.

Essential Criteria

  • A third-level qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 1 years' experience gained in a commercial/industrial relevant role or time served electrician/fitter with 3 years relevant experience in a commercial/contract management/industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting the management or administration of contracts or service agreements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present insights.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
