MCS Group are working with the Business Services Organisation (BSO) to recruit a Communication and Engagement Officer, supporting the delivery of high-quality internal and external communications across the organisation. The team has significant reach and engagement across BSO and the Health and Social Care Trusts so this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and exposure within a large, complex organisation. Reporting to the Communication and Engagement Manager, you will provide administrative and project support across a broad range of communication activities. You will help create engaging content for websites, publications and social media, support the organisation of events and campaigns, monitor digital engagement and contribute to effective communication with staff, stakeholders and the public. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of communication and engagement strategies
- Assist with social media management, website updates and digital communications
- Develop content for publications, campaigns and promotional materials
- Support the planning and delivery of events and stakeholder visits
- Monitor media coverage and social media analytics
- Maintain effective administrative and information management systems
- Build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Essential Criteria
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C) or equivalent
- 2 A Levels (or equivalent) OR relevant higher qualification
- At least 18 months' relevant administrative experience (or 3 years' relevant experience without qualifications)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- A full UK driving licence and access to transport (reasonable adjustments considered)
