MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-known manufacturing company who are looking for a talented Bid Executive to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that has experienced significant growth throughout recent years and is well known for fostering a positive work atmosphere and cultivating a culture that encourages new ideas and requires talented and ambitious minds.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee opportunities throughout all phases of the proposal process in a timely manner and with a high level of accuracy.
- Creating clear and well-structured client proposal packs, including quotation letters, presentations, and tender documents.
- Using online tender portals ensuring that information is collated and uploaded both grammatically and commercially accurate. (Training will be provided).
- Ensure that accurate and clear records are kept and are up to date on historical pricing for each customer to allow final prices to be agreed and justified.
- Engaging with a range of internal stakeholders across departments, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Work closely with Commercial and Sales Directors to ensure relevant customer requirements are captured in preparation for bid proposal.
- Gather and organise relevant information from tenders for future use in bid library.
Essential Criteria
- A Minimum of an HND/NVQ L5 in business related subject or equivalent.
- Experience of bid writing and quotation preparation.
- Understanding of bid processes and practices.
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrable experience of working to high levels of accuracy with strict deadlines.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work alone using own initiative and problem-solving skills, and as part of a team.
- Proven mathematic and commercial acumen.
