MCS Group is looking for a Cloud Engineer for a 3 - 6 month contract in Belfast. This contract will suit a Cloud Engineer with a full-stack/product engineering mindset and strong AWS and infrastructure-as-code capability. This is not a traditional DevOps or infrastructure-only role. You'll be comfortable working across the technology stack, helping to build the customer-facing applications people interact with, alongside the cloud infrastructure and back-end integrations that power them. The Role Build and automate cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform Develop customer-facing service portals and UI components using with a move towards React Work across front-end and back-end systems to integrate customer-facing applications with core services Develop and support back-end integrations, working with technologies including Node.js and Java Help deliver scalable, reliable products as the business expands into new sectors Work closely with product and engineering teams to build new customer-facing capabilities This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building products end-to-end, from the customer interface through to the infrastructure and integrations behind it. The Person Front-end development experience with React or similar frameworks Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform Experience building customer-facing web applications, portals or digital products Back-end development or systems integration experience Excellent software engineering and coding fundamentals Comfortable working across both application development and cloud infrastructure Experience with Node.js and/or Java would be beneficial.
