Civil Engineer in Belfast

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Civil Engineer for our client, a leading environmental and industrial services business operating across the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to oversee drainage investigations, identify technical issues and coordinate a small team delivering drainage rehabilitation and associated civil works across Northern Ireland. Key Responsibilities Review CCTV drainage footage and survey information to identify defects and determine root causes. Prepare technical reports and recommend appropriate remedial works. Coordinate and allocate daily and weekly workloads across a small team of drainage engineers and operatives. Support the delivery of drainage repairs, rehabilitation and small civil engineering projects. Carry out site visits to assess drainage issues and monitor work as required. Liaise with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of works. Monitor progress, resolve technical issues and identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain accurate technical records and project documentation. Ensure works are completed in line with relevant health, safety and environmental requirements. Requirements Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation, or a willingness to work towards it. Experience in civil engineering, drainage, infrastructure or a related technical environment. Ability to interpret CCTV footage, assess technical information and identify root causes of drainage problems. Experience coordinating workloads or supervising engineers, technicians or operational teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A practical, organised and solution-focused approach. The Package Competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications.
