Immediate opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a busy manufacturing organisation in Belfast. Are you an experienced Buyer with a manufacturing or supply chain background and available to start immediately? This is a hands-on procurement role where you will play a key part in ensuring materials and services are purchased on time, at the right cost and to the required quality.
The role:
- Managing day-to-day purchasing, placing and expediting orders
- Managing supplier relationships, pricing and delivery performance
- Negotiating prices and commercial terms
- Managing material shortages and resolving supply issues
- Maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier data within an ERP/MRP system
- Working closely with Production, Materials Control and the wider Supply Chain team
- Supporting cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
The candidate:
- 3 years' purchasing/procurement experience
- Ideally experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong MRP/ERP systems experience
- Confident supplier management and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive, accurate and commercially focused approach
- Available to start on a temporary contract if successful.
