MCS Group is working with a high growth NI tech company in their search for a Business Analyst. With expertise in AI, Data, Analytics and Cloud, our client is on a huge growth trajectory and 2026 will be a huge year for them. We're looking for a client facing business analyst who has worked within technology, software or analytics to join to spearhead an exciting new project.
The Role
- The Business Analyst will work closely with both business stakeholders and delivery teams, supporting the build and evolution of a huge data programme of work.
- You'll play a key role in bringing clarity to requirements and ensuring that what is delivered aligns closely with business needs.
- Running workshops to gather and refine requirements with stakeholders.
- Converting business needs into clear user stories and technical requirements.
- Capturing both functional and non-functional requirements in a structured way.
- Producing and maintaining documentation using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Working alongside product owners on solution shaping and prioritisation.
- Supporting user acceptance testing and coordinating feedback.
- Contributing to release planning and Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.
The Person
- Strong experience working with stakeholders and leading workshops.
- Background in data, analytics or software related projects.
- Ability to write high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Clear communication and solid documentation skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working.
