We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Project Specialist to join a growing analytics function, acting as the vital link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. This is a unique opportunity for a Power BI expert who enjoys combining hands-on dashboard development with project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and end-to-end analytics delivery.

Working across Planning, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain and Sales functions, you will lead reporting initiatives that transform complex business requirements into actionable insights, helping drive strategic decisions across a fast-paced, technology-led organisation.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the intersection of business and technology. You will take ownership of analytics projects from initial requirements gathering through to delivery, while remaining hands-on in Power BI development. You will collaborate with business leaders, Data Engineers, SAP specialists and IT teams to ensure high-quality reporting solutions are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Power BI Development & Analytics
    • Design, develop and maintain enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reports.
    • Create robust semantic models, DAX calculations and data transformations.
    • Deliver intuitive self-service reporting solutions for business users.
    • Optimise existing reports for performance, usability and deeper business insight.
    • Execute comprehensive data validation and quality assurance processes.
    • Ensure accuracy and reliability across all published reporting assets.
  • Project Leadership & Stakeholder Management
    • Lead analytics and reporting projects from inception through delivery.
    • Facilitate workshops to gather and document business requirements.
    • Develop functional specifications, wireframes and reporting mock-ups.
    • Manage project plans, timelines, risks and stakeholder communications.
    • Provide regular updates to both operational stakeholders and senior leadership teams.
    • Translate business requirements into clear technical deliverables for development teams.
  • Technical Collaboration
    • Partner closely with Data Engineers to support reporting architecture and data modelling.
    • Collaborate with SAP specialists to understand source systems, business processes and data structures.
    • Act as the key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
    • Support data governance initiatives and promote reporting best practices.
    • Participate in report reviews and continuous improvement activities.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • Advanced Power BI development skills, including:
    • Data modelling
    • DAX
    • Dashboard and report design
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong data validation, quality assurance and documentation experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Highly Desirable Experience

  • Working with Snowflake.
  • Exposure to dbt and modern data transformation practices.
  • Working with SAP ERP environments.
  • Knowledge of Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain or Finance reporting.
  • Using project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Manufacturing, semiconductor or industrial sector experience.
