I'm working with a large, well established organisation that's investing heavily in technology as part of a long term growth plan. They're now hiring an Enterprise Architect to play a central role in shaping future systems and platforms. This is a permanent role, hybrid working with three days onsite, and a genuine opportunity to influence decisions at group level rather than just document them.
Hybrid - South West Ireland
The Job
- This is a hands on, senior architecture role with real ownership.
- Owning and evolving the enterprise architecture framework aligned to TOGAF.
- Defining business, application, data and technology architecture layers.
- Leading application rationalisation and system modernisation.
- Creating architecture artefacts such as capability maps, system landscapes and integration views.
- Setting and maintaining technology standards and patterns.
- Chairing regular architecture governance sessions.
- Reviewing and shaping major technology and design decisions.
- Managing technical debt and guiding build versus buy decisions.
- Developing a three to five year technology roadmap aligned to ambitious growth targets.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to translate business capability into technical solutions.
- Designing modern integration approaches and cloud based data platforms with an Azure focus.
The Person
- Eight plus years' experience in Enterprise Architecture.
- Strong grounding in TOGAF or equivalent with certification required.
- Proven experience across application portfolios and system modernisation.
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture, integrations and APIs with Azure ideal.
- Experience with ERP, workforce management, GIS or field based systems is a strong advantage.
- Confident communicator who can influence without authority.
